Know Glenn better

Undoubtedly, Glenn McGrath would easily make the top 5 fast bowlers of the world list for anybody who has watched cricket and watched him bowl. Also to his credit if there ever was an award for 'best retirement timing', it would be hands down Glenn McGrath again. For a person who has had so many accolades to his name, a book on his life and times would in my opinion go down as one of the best I have ever read so far. McGrath himself has clearly stated how its easy for people to demonize cricketers without knowing what they are going through.
I like how well the resilience and steel of McGrath is presented and is an eye opener to anyone wanting to understand the ways of a true champion cricketer. One other thing the book teaches is how to continually do the basics correct and fine tune them to the point where it's second nature to you. Countless times we have heard on radio and TV commentary about how McGrath was a very good line and length bowler and used the corridor of uncertainty to think batsmen out.
The man behind the cricketer also reminds us that away from the cricket field,cricketers are very much like us and go through the same struggles of life that others do.
Many may have a change of opinion by being better informed about Glenn McGrath and this book is a good essay of that.

Nice .... it's not about cricket, it's about McGrath the man himself .... I always respected his line and length when he bowled, but now I have more respect for him as a human being ... the way he and Jane fought together, his unconditional love for her and cricket .... simply amazing ...
