As an Architect, I found this book to reflect a refreshingly honest, insightful and accurate description of our profession. I found their search for real meaning in their work as well as a desire to improve the lives within their community through their collective skills inspiring.

Stimulating and honest read from the perspective of a client, architect, or designer

This book is a refreshing change from the monotonous texts we are all forced to read as students training to become an architect. Though the book has a tendency to be very opinionated in parts, I think it really applies to the concepts that apply to any art form that deals with a client. Specifically, how to deal with a "disconnected client".
I find it not only to be a brutally honest book, but also an inspiring one. What really caught my attention in the bookstore was the name of the book-- and as I flipped through it, it was apparent to me that it is not only useful for inspiration, but also confidence.
Must read for any future designer!
